My thoughts: They are going to be taking out about 250 from his pay check every month... we don't use the doctor very often. I have a couple pre existing conditions for which I need on going monitoring, but its not costing me 250 a month. I had surgery earlier this year and it was out of pocket for us, but it was way cheaper if you think about it this way - if we would have had health insurance for the 4 years we have been married we would have paid a lot more than what it cost us for the surgery out of pocket. Don't risk it! I didn't know how serious a heart condition I had. I had to have open heart surgery the same year my daughter was born and had 10 days in the NICU. It would have cost $350,000 without insurance. Now that doesn't happen most people, but you never know what's around the corner. We would be financially devestated forever if we had to pay that. No house, no cars, no vacations. Anything can happen at any time. If you don't have insurance at that point you're screwed - nevermind that many treatment options may not be available. $250 a month is a lot, and hopefully you won't make up for it, but its way too big a gamble. Financial ruin! OK - rant over IMO, even if you don't have kids, I wouldn't risk it. Your health is a priority above everything. My husband was just diagnosed with kidney failure and will need a transplant. This came out of the blue--he is only 31. Thank GOD he is now legal and he is now covered under his insurance and mine, otherwise, we would be in debt for life. You always think things won't happen to you, but you never know. I wouldn't take the risk. Ask about your conditions--they may be covered.

Equity Direct Broking has landed a three-year deal with Mazda UK to run its car insurance scheme. As part of the deal Equity will provide policies through Mazda's 153 UK dealerships and will administer the manufacturer's online quote and buy facility.
The deal includes a tie-in with fellow Mazda affinity partner Santander, which provides consumer finance to Mazda buyers via the Mazda Financial Services brand.
Neil McCallum, Equity Direct's relationship manager said: "Dealers describe Mazda UK's approach to business as 'an absolute breath of fresh air,' and have praised the company's understanding and common sense approach to retailing. Against this background, it's easy to understand why Mazda, which has a 2.4% share of the UK new car market, has sold more than 50,000 cars in the financial year ending March 2010 and is reporting record interest in the brand. We see the brand as a perfect fit for our affinity business."
Mark Cameron, sales director for Mazda UK added: "Equity demonstrates the online expertise and high levels of customer service we look for when selecting a partner to represent our brand. Its affinity broking division offers the right solution at the right pricing level, making it easier for our customers to access the most appropriate motor insurance policy for their Mazda."
